Head Chair Hello!

Hello delegates! My name is Amisha Wadhwa and I am so thrilled to welcome you to BMUN and UNHRC this year (undoubtedly the best committee, of course).

Some nerdy tidbits about me: I am a second-year at Berkeley pursuing a degree in Political Science with a double-concentration in International Relations and American Politics. As someone very passionate about service and advocacy, I am excited to explore the intersection of global affairs and social entrepreneurship in my future. Outside of Cal, I am currently interning with USAID on a research project about the Black Lives Matter movement and drafting a policy brief about preventing instances of police brutality. I have also had a chance to do field research on the refugee crisis at the Mexican border, so I am personally invested in seeing our committee come together to take on the very pressing issue of the inclusion of minorities.

More about me as a human: In my free time, you can catch me jamming out to music from the early 2000's, adding to my candle collection, or making my way through a pint of Ben and Jerry's.

My dais and I are so excited to welcome you to committee and get to know each one of you. We acknowledge that this is not a typical or ideal situation for any of us, but know that we are working hard to make it a fun and memorable weekend. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or even to just say hello!

Yours,
Amisha
